Dear Parents/Guardians

In the spring of this school year, your student had the opportunity to visit Lake Area Technical Center in Camdenton, MO to shadow a handful of their programs. The district will send eligible students to LCTC within the limits of the school’s budget and LCTC program vacancies.

The technical center’s guidelines will be followed to determine eligibility, and LCTC takes into account the following items: number of available program slots, student GPA, student attendance record, the number of D’s or F’s a student has accumulated during their high school career, and any “Safe Schools Act” violations.

The LCTC program vacancies are very competitive. How a student ranks in the selection process is not shared with the Climax Springs R-IV district.

Parents will be responsible for the tuition if a student drops after the deadline established by the Lake Career and Technical Center.
